A little about Stacey..

Stacey Councilman is the founder and driving force behind Mean Girl Self Defense and a multi-brand empowerment ecosystem that includes women’s martial arts programs, instructor training, and community-based violence prevention initiatives. With over a decade of experience teaching self-defense across multiple disciplines—striking, grappling, and tactical training—Stacey has helped deliver more than 650 seminars nationwide, making practical, trauma-aware self-defense accessible to women of all backgrounds.

A lifelong martial artist, competitor, entrepreneur, and mother turned grandmother, Stacey blends real-world training with unapologetic confidence, humor, and heart. Her mission is simple: help women trust their strength, protect their boundaries, and build lives that feel powerful and worth defending—on and off the mat.

When she’s not teaching or building programs, you’ll find her homesteading, cooking for a crowd, creating content, and chasing big legacy dreams with her family.
